DR JAMES CLEMENTS

(Partner) BM (Soton 1986) DA DRCOG MRCGP

Qualified from Southampton in 1986 and spent several years working in hospitals before moving into General Practice. Has been a full time partner at The Blandford Group Practice (previously Eagle House Surgery) since 1992. Special interests include minor surgery and joint and soft tissue injections.

DR SEEMA BHARGAVA

(Partner) MBBS (1990), MD MRCPCH, MRCGP, DFSRH

Dr. Bhargava initially trained in Paediatrics and Neonatology in India, the United Kingdom and Canada. She subsequently shifted to training in General Practice and has been practising as a GP in Dorset for the last 5 years. Apart from Paediatrics her other areas of special interest include ; Women’s health, contraceptive services ,contraceptive implant ,coil and Mirena fitting , Skin conditions and joint injections. Having experienced multiple health care systems internationally, Dr. Bhargava appreciates what the NHS has to offer in the U.K. She is very passionate about the NHS and person centred care.

DR MADELEINE FORD

(Partner) University of Birmingham – MBChB 1989 DCH, MRCGP 1995, DRCOG Diploma in child health Diploma in obstetrics, gynaecology and family planning trained.

Joined Whitecliff group practice in 1997 as a partner. Interests include Mental Health , Women’s health, coil fittings and one of the safeguarding leads for the practice. Currently also Clinical Director of The Blandford Primary Care network. Outside of work interests include walking 2 labradoodles , sailing and travelling.

DR ADRIENNE SLATER

(Partner) BMedSci BM BS (Nottingham 2005) DCH DRCOG DFSRH nMRCGP

I first joined the surgery in 2011 and have been a Partner since 2013. My interests are Paediatrics and Women’s Health and I also enjoy training GP Registrars. When I’m not at work I’m having fun at home with my little girl!

DR MATTHEW SWORD

(Partner) Southampton 2007 BM nMRCGP

I qualified from Southampton medical school in 2007 and did my hospital training in Dorchester from 2007 to 2011. I qualified as a GP in 2012 having trained in Blandford. After locuming in a number of other Dorset practices, I joined as a partner at Whitecliff Surgery (now The Blandford Group Practice) in 2014.

DR LUCY PURCELL

(Partner) MPharm MBChB DFSRH (Bristol2008) MRCGP

I Graduated from Bristol University in 2008, I worked in a variety of hospital posts In the Severn Deanery before completing GP training in 2014. I joined The Blandford Group Practice in 2014 as a Newly Qualified GP and progressed to become a partner in 2018. My interests include Womens’ Health and Family Planning, Prescribing and Learning Disabilities. I am the Medical Officer for Hanford School. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, boating and bike rides with my boys

DR TRACEY WALL

(Partner) Southampton 2008 BM

I've worked at the surgery since I finished my GP training in 2015. Aside from 5 months working in New Zealand, I've worked in West and North Dorset since qualifying from Southampton University in 2008. I enjoy all aspects of general practice. When I'm not at work I love being outdoors and being involved in my local church. I spend as much time as I can with my husband and two young children... all three certainly keep me on my toes!

DR ELIZABETH PAINE

(Salaried GP) UCL 2007 MRCGP MBBS BSc MRCP DCH (Child Okeford Surgery)

I graduated from University College London in 2007 and trained at Poole Hospital and Dorset County Hospital. I joined the Blandford Group Practice in 2014 when I qualified as a GP and enjoyed working at Child Okeford surgery for 5 years including being medical officer at the Forum School, until taking maternity leave for a year. I am now working 2 days per week as a GP retainer and enjoying looking after my little boy the rest of the time. Having started off my training in hospital medicine before changing to general practice, I am interested in general medicine. Doing the Child Health Diploma was part of my ongoing interest in paediatrics. Outside of work I enjoy time with my family and friends, keeping fit, gardening, baking and being part of my lovely church family in Poole.

DR MATTHEW HUNT

(Partner)

I Qualified 2010, completed my Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014 and went on to specialty training in Neurology before changing to General Practice and finishing my training in 2018. I joined the practice 2019, and given my previous training my clinical interests include Neurology as well as General Internal Medicine and geriatrics. Outside of work I have a young family and enjoy winter sports, fine wine and classical music.

DR KYLIE LANGDOWN

MB BCh (Cardiff University 2013), MRCGP, started FSRH DSRH

I started working in the practice in May 2018 as a GP trainee and after completing my training in October 2019, continued working in the practice as a salaried GP. I have an interest in sexual and reproductive health and minor surgery, and I hope to develop my interests and skills further in these areas. When not working, I enjoy reading, music and spending time with my little girl.

DR JO SHEPHERD

(Salaried GP) BM MRCGP 2016

I moved to Poole in 2006 after graduating from Southampton University. I worked in several local hospitals and initially trained in anaesthetics before switching to becoming a GP. I have worked at practices in Bournemouth and Poole before moving to The Blandford Group practice in 2023. Outside of work I am kept busy by my 3 children and enjoying lots of outdoor activities, especially sea swimming.
