Dorset’s Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) offers free impartial, confidential, information, advice and support to children and young people aged from 0 to 25 with special educational needs and/or disability (SEND) and their parents/carers. The service can help by offering advice, information and support on how to express your views for assessments or meetings, find other support, help with disagreements and listening to concerns and talking to you about your choices and options. Our service provides a telephone helpline, email advice line, face-to-face support, support through the education, health and care (EHC) plan process and much more.

Diverse Abilities is an independent, not for profit organisation. We are Dorset’s disability charity supporting children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, and their families. We are committed to providing lifetime partnerships for those that we support. We focus on the positives and aim to give those we support a fantastic life and encouraging future. For children and young people aged 0 to 19 years. A wide range of short-term breaks and activities during the weekend, after school and overnight plus practical support in the home and in the local community is also offered.
