A Primary Care Network (PCN) is a partnership that brings together General Practices to work together to offer more personalised, coordinated and integrated health care for local patients. Blandford Group Practice is ‘one Practice one PCN’ meaning that our Primary Care Network comprises just our Practice.
PCN’s have a set budget called ARRS (Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme) which can be utilised to hire additional clinical and non-clinical staff to support the delivery of the PCN. In Blandford we utilise this funding to employ Paramedics, Mental Health Practitioners, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, and a number of community based Social Prescribers and Care Coordinators.
